S*kingfishers devon rex

Welcome

Kingfishers Devon Rex is a small cattery located in the southern Swedish town of Malmö. Our cats are first and foremost pets. As we have a strong interest in this fantastic breed of cat we will occasionally show our cats and from time to time we may also have kittens.

The Devon Rex is a cheeky breed, loves to be involved in everything going on around them and can't resist the opportunity to jump and climb. Their short coat means that they may be suitable to those people who have a mild allergy to cat fur.

We hope you enjoy looking at the site and please feel free to leave comments or contact us.

Elvira’s First Litter

We are pleased to announce that Elvira (S*Zwelaboz Elvira DRX f 03 32) is also expecting kittens. She spent some time with the beautiful and suave Took Took (S*Exquisite Omaha Hi-Lo DRX a 32) in Ystad and is due to give birth around 12 April. We expect some nice pointed, tonkinese or burmese coloured kittens. No dilution or chocolate is possible in this combination. It is possible that there will be pet kittens available from this combination. Please contact us if you are interested.

Expecting Kittens!

We are expecting kittens around 18 March. The mother is our Poppy (S*Rebeldia Hailie Jade DRX g 03) and Odin (S*Röda Nejlikan’s O Ode to Mischek d 09 33). We can expect a colourful litter of beautiful little kittens. Both parents are affectionate and love the company of people. Hopefully the babies will be the same. Poppy has given us some nice kittens in the past and we hope that she can do so again this time with Odin. If you are interested in this combination please contact us.

Greener Pastures

When we took Daisy for her HCM test, it was discovered that she had a mild heart murmur. The same murmur was detected in her father and sister. Even though the vet assured us it was no problem for her it was obvious that it was a genetic disorder so we removed her from our breeding program and she is now neutered. Some very good friends of ours took a shine to her and with both happiness and a little sadness she has moved to them. While our house is a little more empty now, theirs is full and she is spoiled rotten. We could not ask for a better home. All the best Daisy, you will be missed.
