A-Litter, Born Feb 25 2008

This morning we woke to Poppy giving birth to her first kitten in her first ever litter. At 07:45 a little girl was born - we are not completely sure of the colour, but we think she is black and white. Her birth weight was 91g.

At 10:15 a red and white male was born weighing a healthy 104g. He seems to have a nice even amount of red and white.

At 11:05 the third and last kitten was born. We are not sure of his colour at this stage, but we think he is cream and white. He weighed 97g.

Poppy and Rustie

Poppy was mated with Rustie (CH S*Jolly Roger’s Diamonds and Rust) between Christmas and New Year 2007. She traveled to Edsbyn to meet the lucky boy with Emelie, and we thank her for her kindness for taking Poppy along with her. The mating was successful and we are expecting kittens around 27 February 2008. We are very excited about our first litter and we hope this combination will give us some excellent kittens.

Poppy (S*Rebeldia Hailie Jade)

Poppy was a Stockholm girl who moved to us in April of 2007. She is a blue tortie bicolour (DRX g 03) who came to us from Hannele at S*Rebeldia when she was 3 months of age. She came from a litter of 5 and she quickly became best friends with Morris. She loves to climb and can often be found up on cupboards or hiding in our box with the gloves and scarves. She is a happy cat who purrs at every opportunity. She loves to sit with us, especially if we are on the computer. Poppy is a typical tortie and is happiest when everything is on her terms! She loves to munch on the cat vitamins, especially if they are rolled across the floor for her. She has an excellent coat with a nice tight wave. She is both FeLV/FIV negative and was tested by Torkel Falk for HCM on 30 September 2007, which was negative. Poppy is Blood type A.
